Rory had a really good day out of the office and away from the usual routine last week, as he headed down to Lincoln to spend time with a brilliant bunch of people, chatting all things landscaping, business, and the little day-to-day things that make life easier (or harder!) when you’re running a team.
No presentations, no fluff - just honest conversations, sharing what works, what doesn’t, and picking up ideas you don’t always get when you’re stuck on site.
Big thanks to Addam Smith for having everyone and to Ben from The British Hamper for the very welcome treats!

From initial consultation to finished article I cannot fault Rory and the lads from Actual Landscapes. We started off with 4 concepts which we then tweaked and fine tuned to find the perfect garden and it was executed to a really high standard. The team who created my garden (shout out to Steve, Sam and Mike) were a pleasure to deal with and my neighbours actually miss having them around! I am so chuffed with my new garden, it went from dried out wilderness to lush green haven in a matter of weeks and I now have a perfect spot to chill out on sunny days. The cats love it too!
We requested something a bit different, in that we wanted a garden with Japanese themes. Rory listened really carefully and took that forward, creating a design that he then put into play with real enthusiasm and inspiration.
The team were fantastic- so friendly, incredibly hardworking, and conscientious. They were also very thoughtful when dealing with our neighbours, which we really appreciated.
